  8. What is it?
  9. -----------
  10.   Duel! is a game of starship battle. Two players duke it out in
  11. orbit around a central sun. Inspiration came from chapter 8
  12. "Star Trek Dynamics" of the book "The Tinkertoy Computer" by
  13. A.K. Dewdney.

  15.   The game is written in Visual Basic and works better on fast
  16. machines with large screens. It will play on a 386 at 640x480
  17. but isn't as enjoyable.

  19.   This game is shareware. It is fully functional, and doesn't nag.
  20. If you enjoy it, please send 10$ to the address listed at the end

  24. Installation
  25. ------------
  26.   Copy DUEL2.EXE to the directory of your choice. The file THREED.VBX
  27. should be placed in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. Make sure you
  28. don't overwrite a more recent version before copying it.

  30.   You also need VBRUN300.DLL which isn't included but can be easily
  31. found on most Compuserve Forums. I didn't include it to keep the size
  32. of the zipped file small.

  34.   You can create an icon for Duel! by dragging the DUEL2.EXE from
  35. the File Manager to a group in your Program Manager.

  38. How to play
  39. -----------
  40.   See "Instructions" and "Controls" under the Help menu in the game.
  41. The game is pretty straightforward and a couple of tries should be
  42. enough to figure out how everything works.
