Installation:
=============
Air Fight assume certain directory structure. Because of that, please
unzip AF.ZIP using the following command:
pkunzip -d AF.ZIP
where pkunzip is the name of your unzipping program (change it if you have
different version) and -d switch tells to recreate the sub directories as in
the zip file.
After you unzip the game, all data files the game uses will be in a sub
directory named SCENES and in the current directory you will have AF.EXE
and some other text files as ORDER.DOC, LICENSE.DOC, READ.ME etc.
The next step is to define the program in the Windows Program Manager.
Here we will assume that you unzip Air Fight in a directory named GAME1.
Make sure that in GAME1 you have AF.EXE and a sub directory called SCENES.
If this is the case, do the following:
1. Get to the Windows Program Manager.
2. Open the program group where you want Air Fight to be. For example, it may
be yours GAMES program group.
3. At the Program Manager select Files and then New.
4. Click on Program Item and then on OK
5. At the Command Line entry enter C:\GAME1\AF.EXE (or whatever the directory
you are using).
6. At the Working Directory entry enter C:\GAME1 (or whatever the directory
you are using). Be sure to enter the Correct Work directory, otherwice
the program will not work.
7. Click OK and you are done!
8. The Air Fight icon will appear in the selected group - double click
on it and that is all. Have Fun!
P.S. The maximum score you can make is limited in this shareware version of
the game to 500 points. If you feel that you like the game and whant to
check out how far you may go, please register. The game becomes increasingly
challenging as you score more and more points. When you register you will
also get a free upgrade for the next version. Support the Shareware - at
least here you pay just after you have tried the game, and only if you like
it, as opposed to the store, where you pay before, and if you don't like what
you just bought - you can't return it. Also, if you have any suggestions
for this game, what new or different features you would like to see in the
next version, write us at:
K-Soft, Internet Id: 71662.332@compuserve.com
The last thing:
If you decide to register, the easiest and the fastest way to register is
using CompServe. This is also the only way to register the game outside USA
and Canada. When log to CompuServe, go to SWREG and search for the game
id=5124, or file name AFIGHT.ZIP and then follow the directions. After you
register, we will ship the game to you the next business day. If you do not
have a CompuServe account, send a check or money order for $20 to:
