* New functions have been added to the main program, including:
- A Previous Message function that works in both mail
and news to move to prior messages.
- A Copy Thread option is available on the news menu
that allows the user to highlight any article in a
thread and copy the entire thread from the news
hierarchy to a mail folder.
- Search functions similar to those in mail have been
extended to work for news as well.
- The Queue Editor is now a WinNET menu choice (and has
an accelerator key as well -- Ctrl+Q)
- The preface "In article <message-id>, User Name (address) writes:"
is now automatically supplied by the follow-up command.
Additional Program Modifications:
* The following accelerator keys have been added as an aid
to more efficient operation of the program:
Close Ctrl+Hyphen (this closes any open window)
InBox Ctrl+Shift+I
Mail Sent Folder Ctrl+S
Folder List Ctrl+L
Next Item Ctrl+N
Previous Item Ctrl+L
Reply to Ctrl+R
Forward Ctrl+F
Move Item Ctrl+Shift+M

* A preference dialog item has been added -- Hide Old Articles --
that, when set, causes articles previously seen to be suppressed
from appearing in news group folders.
* The operation of the Mark Seen function has been changed as
follows:
From the news viewer window, closes the window.
From a news group folder, marks the currently
highlighted item as read and advances one item.
From the news group list, marks all articles in the
currently highlighted newsgroup read en mass.
* Added support for detaching binary files directly from system
editor (previously, detach was only available from the
mail composition or news posting editors).
* The cursor now changes to an hour glass in during several
lengthy operations where previously it did not (such as when
closing a mail folder with many deleted items).
* When the user enters a comma in an address book name, this
is now detected by the program -- the user is warned about
doing this, and the program explains to the user that the
comma has been automatically changed to a semi-colon.
* Some minor changes have been made to tab order and default
buttons in address book dialog to make operations here
more intuitive.
* The functioning of the Next Item button has been changed to
close the viewer window when transitioning from a new mail
or news article to one that has been previously seen, so that
the user knows he/she has moved out of the sequence of new
material.
* Added support for adding the Lines: line to headers of articles
created by WinNET.
* Status of News Posts are not returned unless there is a
problem. (Return status on *failure* only).

move out of any window without using the mouse.
* The size of the Select Folder dialog box has been enlarged
for so user's with many folders defined can select a folder
more easily.
* Various minor menu modifications.
Main program BUG fixes:
* Fixed bug where Move Item would re-load same item if cancel
pressed on dialog box.
* Fixed bug where move operation from Mail Sent folder doesn't recall
previous move folder as default. Fixed same bug in "Copy" operation.
* Fixed bug which caused attached files with certain permission settings
not to be recognized by the detach binary mail command.
* Fixed editor bug that would not allow mousing down lines when
caret positioned at last line of the document.
* Fixed bug where closing a window when that window was the
only remaining window left its status line below. Now, the
status line clears completely.
* Fixed bug where "opening folder xxx, please be patient" shows
in the status line area when user clicks the InBox button
when the Inbox is already open.
* Made viewers less "sensitive" to detection of control characters
in text files to prevent them from being classified as binary (this
leads to new line characters showing up as blocks on the screen
and loss of formatting of articles that sometimes are posted
to clarinet groups that have tron/troff control characters.
* Preferences dialog box minor cosmetic cleanup.
* When new mail arrives in mailbox, previously highlighted
selection is now properly retained.
* Fixed a bug that caused the Lines: line of the incoming
header to be improperly parsed as blank if the number of
lines: is less than 10.
* Fixed a bug in system editor related to saving files with
the default name of "noname". When files are saved for the
first time, the save file dialog box would allow the user
to rename the file something more distinctive than "noname".
However, the new name selected given by the user would not
be reflected in the window title or status bar. Now these
areas are properly updated.
__Cleanup Program__
* The cleanup program now has a full Windows "user interface";
it is now controlled with buttons and dialog boxes.
* Support for archiving newsgroups, on an individual basis.
* Improved cooperative multi-tasking.
* Settings retained from session to session.
* The program can now be aborted in mid-session, without damage
to news database, and without loss of state information.
* The Cleanup "Days" parameter is now interpreted as >= days
rather than > days, to avoid confusion and to allow deleting
_all_ news by using a parameter of 0.
__Mail Man Program__
* Better fault tolerance
* Better cooperative multi-tasking.
* Improved parsing of non-RFC headers.
__Queue Editor program__
* New, and improved...
