  28. 2.0     Installation Notes for Word 5.x and Word 6.0
  29.  
  30. 1) Run INSTALL from Disk #1 of the mach64 diskettes.
  31.  
  32. 2) Select Drivers Installation from the Main Menu.
  33.  
  34. 3) From the Install Enhanced Drivers menu select Word.
  35.  
  36. 4) Select Word 5.x from the menu, then select the desired resolution.
  37.  
  38. Note: WORD stores its environment settings in file MW.INI. If you wish
  39.       to return to a default environment, delete file MW.INI. WORD will
  40.       create a new one. Under normal circumstances, it is not recommended
  41.       to change the environment settings in WORD.

  46. 3.0     Known Problems
  47.  
  48. 1) Mouse cursor support is not available in the high resolution modes.
  49.  
  50. 2) If the high resolution page preview mode is not available, the VGA
  51.    640x480 16 color mode will be used.
  52.  
  53. 3) More memory is needed for larger display modes. If slow display operation
  54.    is observed with heavy disk access, this is an indication that memory
  55.    available to WORD is low. This can be alleviated by increasing available
  56.    memory, selecting a smaller display mode, or by installing a disk caching
  57.    utility. Under severe memory shortage conditions, WORD may report that
  58.    the mode cannot be switched into.
  59.  
  60. 4) In Word 5.0a, using text, 43 lines, 16 colors produces a display in the
  61.    top two thirds.  The remaining bottem of the screen is blank.
