  1.          How to use ParNet with this disc and the CDTV
  2.          =============================================

  4. To use Parnet with this disc it must be installed on the Amiga
  5. computer which will be connected to the CDTV.  Instructions for
  6. installing ParNet on the host Amiga can be found in the
  7. 'ParNet.doc' and 'ReadMe' files located in this folder.
  8.  
  9. The CDTV and the networked Amiga must be connected with a special ParNet
  10. cable. THIS IS NOT A STANDARD PRINTER CABLE. Instructions for the making
  11. a suitable cable can be found in the 'Cable.Doc' file located in this
  12. drawer.
  13.  
  14. This disc is preconfigured for ParNet as UNIT 1. It is assumed that the
  15. Amiga which will be attached to the CDTV is UNIT 0. If this is not the
  16. case the 'ParNet Switch' script will not work properly. When using the
  17. disc with the CDTV ParNet can be activated by simply double clicking
  18. on the 'Activate ParNet' icon at the root level of the disc.

  20. This disc is 'CD0:'.  To access this disc from the Amiga networked to
  21. the CDTV from a script or CLI issue the following commands:

  23.            NETPNET-SERVER UNIT 1
  24.            MOUNT NET:
  25.            CD NET:CD0
  26.  
  27. Optionally you can copy the COPY_TO_AMIGA script to the AMIGA and
  28. use it to start ParNet.

  30. When this is done an icon for  'NETWORK' will appear on the workbench
  31. screen.  We have set up this disc to have a workbench icon. When you
  32. open the 'NETWORK' disk you will see an icon for 'CD0', this is
  33. The Fred Fish Collection on CD ROM' disc running on the CDTV.
