  1. This material was submitted to me on disk by Frank Edwards, who did the
  2. Amiga port.  Thanks Frank!

  4. I have not personally done any testing on this distribution, thus I cannot
  5. comment on how well it works.  I basically just reorganized the 3 disks
  6. of material received to pack everything onto two disks using lharc.  I
  7. don't believe I broke anything or lost any pieces in the process.
  8. To extract files from the archives, use a command of the form:
  9.  
  10.     lharc -x -a -m x cnews.bin.lzh
  11.  
  12. Below is a list of the archives that comprise this distribution of CNews.
  13.  
  14. cnews.bin.lzh    The binaries and other files required to run C News on the
  15.         Amiga.
  16.         (On disk 318)
  17.  
  18. cnews.orig.lzh    All the original files that Frank received as "C News".
  19.         Apparently the shar file that came to him was truncated,
  20.         but the truncation only affected a few files from the rna
  21.         directory, which is the news reader.  This was not ported
  22.         at this time anyway, so the loss is not critical.

  25. cnews.src.lzh    All the C News files that had to be modified to compile or
  26.         run on the Amiga.

  29. uupc.lzh    The source to the UUPC package used with this port of C News.
  30.         I do not know how compatible this port of CNews might be with
  31.         Matt Dillon's version of Amiga UUCP.
