SuperMenu v1.62:
This Collection of files (archive?) contains the following:
SuperMenu (v1.62)
SuperMenu.doc (SuperMenu manual)
SuperMenu.info (SuperMenu icon - do with it what you want)
AmigaDOS.config (AmigaDOS help configuration file)
AmigaDOS.HELP (AmigaDOS help text file)
AmigaDOS.info (AmigaDOS help icon)
README.first (pre-release notice)
README.second (this release notice)
You'll need SuperMenu, AmigaDOS.config, and AmigaDOS.HELP all in one
directory to get the sample config file running from CLI. To do this, CD to
the directory, and type:
Run SuperMenu AmigaDOS.config (specifies user-defined config file)
OR put AmigaDOS.config into your s: device and rename it as sm.config, then
Run SuperMenu (will automatically load s:sm.config)
NOTE: Both will look for AmigaDOS.HELP in the same directory, so make sure
it's there.
To run SuperMenu from Workbench, you'll need the above files with the
addition of AmigaDOS.info (this contains the information to load SuperMenu
and tell it to load AmigaDOS.config). Make sure they're in the same place
(use can use the Workbench INFO command later to customize where the files
are by modifying the .info file). Double-click on the HELP WITH AMIGADOS
icon and wait (watch the Screen title-bar, if you can see it, until you see
"SuperMenu installed" <- you won't see this if you have the QUIET option
set. You can activate it with the HELP key when you see this.)
The SuperMenu.info icon is supplied so you can make your own script files
and give them an icon (just rename the icon to what you what you want to call
it, and modify the INFO parameters and TOOLTYPES of it for your own use -
experiment!).
NOTE: The sample config file is set up to run SuperMenu in RESIDENT mode, so
in all cases you'll have to press the HELP key to invoke the program (after
it has loaded all the data and installed itself). Please read the manual to
get a much clearer understanding of what's going on!
You can remove SuperMenu two ways:
1) When the SuperMenu window is the active one, press CTRL-C (BREAK).
Clicking on the CLOSEWINDOW gadget will only put SuperMenu back in
RESIDENT mode.
2) Run SuperMenu again.
Remember, SuperMenu is SHAREWARE, so if you get lots of use out of it please
send me money (doesn't matter how much). Read SuperMenu.doc (thoroughly is
nice) for more info!!
