  8.      NAME
  9.           L - Display files and directories in columns.

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.           L PAT CD/S NOCOL/S
  13.           
  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.           L will display the files and the directories in the current
  16.           directory unless a PAT argument is supplied to specify wich
  17.           directory or files should be examined (wildcards supported).
  18.           Filenames will be sorted and organized in columns; the number
  19.           of columns is chosed according to the current window width,
  20.           its font XSize, and to the maximum lenght filename.
  21.           Directory names will be highlighted using color #3 unless
  22.           the NOCOL switch is supplied.

  24.      OPTIONS
  25.           CD
  26.                 Change the current directory according to the PAT
  27.                 argument. This option is most handy when used with
  28.                 an Alias command like:

  30.                 Alias Cl L [] CD 
  31.           NOCOL
  32.                 Don't use ANSI sequences to highlight directory names.
  33.                 Useful for prints etc.
