| Color Window * Amiga Version 3.2 * News Release * November 1989 |
|_______________________________________________________________________|
Color Window is a quality software product built to provide users of the
Commodore Amiga a preferred method of controlling the color register
assignments of Intuition custom screens. This objective is achieved by
opening `The Color Window' on whichever screen is active whenever the
right-Amiga and the HELP keys are entered simultaneously from the console.
The Color Window can be opened any number of times upon any Intuition
screen which is either low or high resolution, laced or inter-laced, with
either one, two, three, four or five bit planes (so long as the machine
can multi-task and there is enough memory). The Color Window can also be
opened on different screens concurrently.
The Color Window's primary concern is to provide you with the ability to
save and initialize either all of the color values or the value of an
indivdual color. This is accomplished by using Data Files to store the
color values and a Data Requester to provide data selection and file
maintenance functions. Alternatively, you can modify any color manually
in either RGB or HSL value representation. Other operations provide
Randomize, Copy, Move, Swap and Cycle functions. The program state is
indicated by a character string within the mouse pointer. Extensive
operational notifications are presented via a requester. A
Checkpoint/Restore and Undo facility provides protection against
undesirable color value assignments and data file modifications. An
initialization file provides customizable program features. Access to
viewing documentation files is provided by a Reference Window.
The intended operating environmet is AmigaDOS Version 1.3 using either the
Amiga Shell or any shell which knows of the resident command list. The
program CWHandler is to be executing and the program CWindow is to be on
the resident command list. An execute script file is included which will
install Color Window on the SYS: volume. Color Window is not copy protected.
