Sonique-2-QCD visual plugin adapter v1.30
May 8th, 2002
By Jason Ivory and Paul Quinn
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS PLUGIN
-------------------------------
This plugin will load and run Sonique visualizations within QCD just like native plugins.
However, not all Sonique plugins work perfectly, some will even crash since they didn't
expect running in an enviroment outside of Sonique. That said, a lot of visuals do work,
and work great!
This plugin is quite new and has not been tested with all Sonique visual plugins. Expect
some bugs and conflicts with certain Sonique visual plugins.
CONFIGURING THIS PLUGIN
-----------------------
After installing this plugin in QCD's plugin folder, you should see 'Sonique2QCD V1.20'
listed in the visual plugin browser (QCD->Preferences->Plugins->Visuals). Highlight the
plugin and click 'Configure'.
In the window that comes up is where you will see a list of installed Sonique plugins, as
well as some effects settings that are found in Sonique. Use this configuration screen to
determine which plugins are installed and to tweak effects settings.
Click the button at the buttom right of the plugin configuration window to select
the folder that contains the Sonique visual plugins.
INSTALLING SONIQUE PLUGINS
--------------------------
You can get Sonique plugins from http://www.sonique.com
If you do not have Sonique installed, run QCD with this plugin installed BEFORE trying to
install Sonique plugins. (This plugin needs to run before the visual plugins can know where to install to).
If you do have Sonique installed, when you download and run Sonique plugins they will
install by default to Sonique's default folder. Make sure the Sonique2QCD plugin
configuration is pointing to the correct folder to load these plugins
(Usually c:\Program Files\Sonique\Vis).
SWITCHING BETWEEN SONIQUE PLUGINS
---------------------------------
After you have a few Sonique visuals installed, switching between them is different than
using the normal 'next visual' button on QCD. If you double-click the mouse on the visual area
while a Sonique plugin is running, the Configuration window (see above) will apear,
allowing you to select and tweak the plugins. To quickly switch to the next Sonique visual,
right-click the visual area.
Thanks and Enjoy!
