  3.     This programme was written on an A500 with 1Meg and a hard drive. It works
  4.     on my machine with no known bugs. If you are running it on some other 
  5.     system and you have problems please let me know. This file details known
  6.     problems on some other systems together with possible fixes. It also
  7.     contains some general information about running AMOS programmes.

  9.      This programme was programmed by Andrew Kreibich with AMOSv1.32 
  10.      (C) 1990 Mandarin/Jawx (Europress) and compiled with the AMOS compiler.

  13.      Note: to quit at any time (without using the menu) press Ctrl-C.
  14.            to toggle workbench use left Amiga-A (Amiga N and M will not work)

  20.     I have heard a number of reports that AMOS has problems with old A1000s. 
  21.     If the programme gurus, locks up your machine, loses the mouse pointer 
  22.     or anything else unusual then try it on another machine. I have no way 
  23.     of fixing it to work on old A1000s.

  30.     This programme assumes that the system font is topaz 8.
  31.     If any of the text is too big for the buttons this is because
  32.     you have changed the system font.
  33.     If this causes you problems then I can send you a version which 
  34.     will set the font for you. (Only available when you register, please
  35.     let me know if you want it)

  40.      MOUSE PROBLEMS?
  41.  
  42.      Some users have reported a disappearing mouse pointer when running 
  43.      DMouse at the same time. If this happens to you and you are running
  44.      Dmouse or any other sort of fancy mouse accessory then turn it off and
  45.      try again.

  47.      If you are running on a faster system (eg you are lucky enough to afford
  48.      an accelerator card) then you might have a few problems with timing. This
  49.      could manifest itself by refusing to accept the mouse click until you
  50.      have hit it a few times. Annoying, I know, but I have tried to prevent 
  51.      this with carefully structured loops etc. but unfortunately I have no
  52.      way of testing it! (as I said above it works fine on my machine). I have
  53.      two solutions to this.

  55.        1. turn off the accelerator (if possible)
  56.  
  57.        2. register and persaude a few hundred others to do likewise so 
  58.           that I can afford an accelerator and test it out myself!
