  4. Welcome to PowerBase V3.00 the best and probably final version of
  5. POWERful dataBASE system written by me (Steven Rennocks).

  7. I have produced many other high quality programs which all started out
  8. as programs that I wrote for myself and so I continued to improve them
  9. until I was advised to release them.  Some of my best known programs
  10. include :-

  24. At the time of writing this (See above) I am a 17 year old student
  25. about to take "A" levels in Physics , Maths , Economics and General
  26. Studies.  I plan to continue my education and take a BSC degree in
  27. Computer Science at Staffordshire Polytechnic/University.

  29. I started programming in 1984 at the age of 9 when I bought a Sinclair
  30. Spectrum with a huge 16k of memory! I then bought a 48K spectrum
  31. followed by a Spectrum +2.  In 1988 I bought an Amstrad 6128 and then
  32. less than four months after this I bought an Amiga 500 , which I then
  33. upgraded to an A500 plus in November 1991.

  35. I began by typing in program listing from magazines and modifying them
  36. to do or operate as I wanted.  I was soon writing my own games from
  37. scratch.  Since owning an A500 I have moved to producing utilities and
  38. application programs such as PowerBase , but despite this my best
  39. selling program is still a game : Formula One Challenge.
