  4.    TV GRAPHICS is Copyright (c) 1987 by George Bailey.  This is a Shareware
  5. product and may be freely copied and distributed in the Public Domain.
  6. If you find the graphics on this disk useful for your desk top video
  7. productions, send me $10.00 and I will send you the upgraded version (v1.2).
  8. V1.2 has almost 40 different graphic files for your use, plus new product
  9. annoucements.

  16. MACHINE REQUIRMENTS
  17. ------------------------
  18.    Amiga with 512,single disk drive, DOS V1.2, and graphics software that
  19. supports IFF standard graphics files.
  20.    NOTE: Both Deluxe Paint and Aegis Images have the ability to capture
  21. parts of the screen and use them as brushes.  This will be especially helpful
  22. with this disk, when different graphic elements need to be overlayed.

  25. PURPOSE OF TV GRAPHICS
  26. ---------------------------
  27.    TV GRAPHICS is a utility disk to be used in conjuction with other
  28. graphics programs for your Amiga.  Think of this disk as a video graphics
  29. clip art disk.  TV GRAPHICS is loaded with background screens for your video
  30. productions, similar to the computer graphics seen on the nightly news.
  31. The graphics on this disk will be especially helpful with the Genlock and
  32. frame grabber interfaces.  You can also find uses for animation as well.

  34. USING TV GRAPHICS
  35. --------------------
  36.    TV GRAPHICS is divided up into three different types of graphics styles.
  37. SCREENS (.SCR), FRAMES (.FRA), and PARTS (PRTS).  SCREENS are full graphics
  38. pictures already created for instant use.  FRAMES are small borders that
  39. allow you to overdub any video, or graphic elements inside them.  PARTS
  40. are small pieces of computer art that can define as a brush and create your
  41. own screens with.

  43. VIEWING THE PICTURES
  44. ---------------------
  45.    To look at the various graphic files on this disk, and double-click any of
  46. the picture icons to view them.  Compare the different types of graphic files
  47. to get the feel of TV GRAPHICS.
  48.  
  49. CREATING THE "DEMO A" SCREEN
  50. ------------------------------
  51.    The DEMO A screen was created by first loading in the chrome frames into
  52. the spare screen.  Always do this to avoid color conflicts.  Then the
  53. second file, BRICKS was loaded in the other screen.  Going back to the spare
  54. screen, one of the frames was defined as a brush (as in Deluxe Paint) and
  55. moved to the other screen, over the Bricks picture.  In this instance,
  56. a drop shadow was first placed and then the frame was moved to the upper
  57. left and dropped in place.  The shadow area was re-worked with a darker
  58. color mixture for a more realistic look.  The inside of the frame was then
  59. painted black, since this is where the video signal would go.
  60.    The other demos on this disk were done in a similiar manner.

  62. NOTES ON COLOR CONTROLS
  63. ----------------------------
  64. The colors for the chrome and gold frames (colors 8-12) are made up of
  65. the following combinations:

  75.    The color controls are given above, in case you run into any color
  76. problems.  Sometimes you may want to change your frames to other colors
  77. without having to load in the other frames.  You may now do this directly
  78. from the color pallette.

  80. CONVERTING LO-RES SCREENS TO MED AND HI RES
  81. ------------------------------------------------
  82.    Although all the graphic files on TV GRAPHICS were done in lo-res, they
  83. can be easily converted in med and hi-res by defining any area of the lo-res
  84. screen as a brush and then saving it to your data disk in your brush drawer.
  85. Remember to take down color notes so you can accurately reproduce them,
  86. unless you want different colors.
