  8. ANOTHER UNIQUE DISK BY ZIRCON !!!! (Wagga wagga) Now, wouldn't you like to
  9. be part of us ? You would ? Well read on....

  11.  Have you produced a disk of your own ? Have you made a good utility ? Have
  12. you made some good music or drawn some pictures?. In fact, if you've done any
  13. work on the Amiga and it's just sitting in the box because you're thinking,
  14. "That won't be any use to anyone" then send it to us!!! We like to recieve any
  15. of your work, be it a utility, program, artwork, sound, music, anything!! 
  16. Make sure that it is fully P.D. (It isn't copyrighted in any way). 
  17.  If your work doesn't take up much disk space, we will put it on one of our
  18. disks. Even though your work will may be put with other work, you will be
  19. fully creditted and recognised for your contribution to Zircon. 
  20.  If you want other people to see your work, have the advantage of it being
  21. released on a Zircon disk AND automatically become a member of Zircon, write
  22. to this address :-

  31.  If you send pictures they don't have to be in slideshow format, just save
  32. them on a blank disk and send them to us. If you send music, please indicate
  33. which music program you have created it on. This also doesn't have to be
  34. auto-running. 
  35.  Letters are much appreciated, and replies will be given to all.  You may work
  36. may even be featured in the P.D. sections of Amiga magazines !!

  38.  THE TECHIE BIT

  40.   What I should have used when I compiled this Zircon disk was a 9 Meg Amiga 
  41. with added reverse thrust, hot and cold running water, mains gas supply, 
  42. quantum audio overload quadrophonic bass amplifier, 25 extra drives, a 100 
  43. inch monitor, a 99 million colour tri-laser printer, a stereo sound sampling 
  44. unit (with flouresent pink faders), 10 mice, 14 joysticks, a 500 Mb hard 
  45. drive, a 12000 baud modem, a NICAM stereo twin-head VCR, a 5000 Mhz 
  46. accelarator card, a built-in kettle and a PAIR OF FURRY DICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  47. But I didn't..........Instead, my setup is this :-

  50. A data-linked Amiga A500 Plus 1Mb
  51. A Power external drive
  52. A stereo speaker booster system
  53. An Alba Stereo system
  54. A Matsui T.V.
  55. A Video Sender (Send signals from Video Out to T.V. and gives a very clear
  56. picture)
  57. A Star LC-20 (I got this 10 months before it went on sale in September '91 -
  58. Thanx Trilogic)
  59. A Trilogic sound sampler
  60. A Mouse !
  61. A ProF competition joystick, and a QuickJoy TopStar joystick (For the sims)

  63. And thanx to Great Wyrley High for letting me use their Toshiba Lap-Top's
  64. (Charge them up properly!!) the LC24-200 printer, the Hewlett Packard Paint
  65. Jet Printer, the PC's and the BBC MICROS !!!!!! (That last one was a joke)

  68.  Na, you won't believe this, but when I first went to GWHS (Great Wyrley High)
  69. all they had was some Apple micros (ha ha ha ha ha!!!) and a few BBC micros
  70. with sparkling graphics (ha ha ha ha !!!!) But not any more .... Now they have
  71. 6 Toshiba T1000 Lap-top computers, loads of 480Z research machines (not so
  72. good), loads of Nimbus's linked to the school's LAN (Local Area Network), 2
  73. Amiga 500's, some PC's (which they TRY to show off....oh dear.. It's like a
  74. Dixon's shop) and they still have the BBC micro's !!!

  79.   MORE STUFF ABOUT ZIRCON

  82.   Our morals are still the same as ever (We fight for Justice, truth and the
  83. American way - or maybye not), no matter what we name the group. I'm still 
  84. using my first trusty Amiga A500 which is (still) going strong *** Update, I
  85. sold it !!!! I've got an Amiga A500 Plus now (In case you hadn't realised).
  86. It's the first computer I've had that hasn't packed up after a year or so. 
  87. Before this Amiga, I had a Spectrum 48k, then a Spectrum 128k +2. I also had 
  88. one of those black + white games consoles where you used a gun to shoot balls 
  89. off the screen, but you can't really call that a computer, can you ?

  93.   Well, Zircon alway's trys to give you quality and quantity in one package,
  94. and that's what we did with :-

  96.   Zircon Mega Utilities #01 - I did a few other utility disks, which had about
  97. 10 utilities on each. I didn't release them 'cus a pilfering 10 utilities on
  98. each disk is not what I'd call value for money. So, I put them all onto one
  99. disk and POP (Thank-you sound FX department) It's the Zircon mega utilities 
  100. disk! It has 60 utilities on (And they're not small ones either) and they're 
  101. all easily accessible from the on-screen menu.

  103.   Zircon Classic 2 Players - Great disk for two players ! Totally addictive 
  104. and great fun !!!! Get it now !! Fully documented.

  106.   Zircon's Fractal Mania - Do you like fractals ? You do !!! Well, this disk
  107. will be perfect for all you guys & girls that want quick landscapes. This disk
  108. has a program which produces amazing mountains, hills and fields right before
  109. your eyes! Fully documented.

  111.   Zircon Demo's - A great selection of demos. Put together by Gears (ME!) and
  112. the demos are by ..... Gears...!! Wow !! Pick a demo/intro from the menu and
  113. show off your Amiga to all your friends.

  115.   Zircon Boot-blocks - A library of boot-blocks a disk ! This is for the
  116. experienced user, as you need to know which disks you can and cannot put a new
  117. boot-block onto. It has over 30 different boot utilities/demos/etc Also 
  118. includes several boot-block programs

  120.    ALL THE DISKS ABOVE SHOULD BE / SOON WILL BE IN ANY GOOD P.D. LIBRARY

  127.  Zircon Samples Disk - Being considered at the moment is the Zircon samples 
  128. disk, a great disk for anybody that hasn't got a sampler. It will probably
  129. have a range of samples from music to tennis.

  131.  Zircon Disk Magazine - Not a new idea, I know, but look out for it in the
  132. coming months... It will have tips on sampling, hints + tips for that
  133. brilliant piece of software - Deluxe Paint IV (Like how to get loads of extra
  134. animation frames) and bags more. We will include any of your interesting
  135. features, stories, hints, tips, cheats etc. Any length will be considered as 
  136. text does'nt take much disk space.
