- ANYMONTH: Perpetual Calendar
- By Richard Gallagher
- ------------------------
-
- Here is a simple perpetual calendar program with which you can print a
- calendar page, or simply browse through the months for any month you want
- after 1592. It doesn't work for years prior to 1593 because at that time the
- calendar had 11 days eliminated and a new month system instituted -- the
- Gregorian calendar.
- Use the arrow keys to step sequentially back and forth through the
- months, or type a four-digit year or the first three letters of a month to
- go directly to that month/year.
- You can add notes in any date square (birthdays, etc.) before you print
- the month, but this is not a "date book" program. Nothing is saved and the
- added notes will be lost if you change the month before printing.
- To exit a date square, press Return until the cursor disappears.
- Pressing Backspace will erase the square and let you start over.
- I haven't tried it, but I imagine it would be fairly easy to create
- your own illustrated calendar by combining your IFF images with the "Print
- Month" feature. Since I don't think two full screens will fit on the
- standard 11-inch page, you might have to experiment to see how big the
- illustration can be. If you are using Deluxe Paint, for example, I think you
- would have to leave about a 1-1/2-inch white strip across the bottom of the
- screen.
