  17. Here is a freeware program that will optimize floppies, RADs, and hard
  18. drives using either the old or fast file systems.  Its fairly safe because
  19. only 1 block is moved at time.  It quick (well not fast) 20 megs takes about
  20. 2 hours and 40 megs takes less than 4 on a hard drive connected to a Word
  21. Sync.  It multitasks without crashing.  Crashes are fairly benign.  During
  22. testing of the near final product, crashes did not corrupt data or
  23. directory structure.  (the reasons for these crashes have of course been
  24. corrected)  After use, your drive will sound a lot quieter and access will
  25. be quicker.
