You use a joystick on port two, and you need LYNX 17, a program located
in the C64 utilities library to de-lynx the file or it won't run. To run
Chess 128., type DLOAD"CHESS 128.", don't forget the period after the 8,
and once loaded type RUN. To move a piece, move the sprite arrow to the
desired piece and hit the fire button. Then move to where you want to
place the piece and hit fire again. The game does not check for illegal
moves, its up to you! There are also three other features you should
know about, to replace a piece because of a mistake, or because a pawn
reaches the opposite end of the board, hit R, then hit W for white, or B
for black, then hit the first letter of that pieces name. EXAMPLE: For a
white king, move to the desired spot, hit R for replace, then W for white,
then K for king. The exception is the knight for which you use the N key.
If you make a mistake and pick up a piece you don't want, hit A for abort
pickup, and you can pick up another piece. To end the game hit E.
This file MUST be dissolved in C64 mode with either Lynx 17 or Omega-Q.
Once dissolved RUN this program in C128 mode using the 40 column screen.
