What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
The Video Features Diskette for Windows 95 provides the drivers to:
- Improve the display drawing performance
- Provide the higher resolution (up to 1280x1024 for CRT)
- Provide various color depths (256, 64K, or 16M colors for CRT)
The following models are supported:
- ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, and 760LD
- ThinkPad 760E, 760ED, 760EL, and 760ELD
- ThinkPad 560
- ThinkPad 365X and 365XD
Released Versions

Version 1.00 Initial release for ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760L, and 760LD.
Version 1.01 Support for new models, ThinkPad 760E, 760EL,
365X, and 365XD.
Version 1.00 Initial release for ThinkPad 760ED and 760ELD.
Version 1.01 Support for new model, ThinkPad 560.
Version 1.10 A fix for some problems.

- (Fix) The computer no longer hangs when two MediaPlayer windows
are opened under DirectDraw.

The user can select 16M color.

The user can select 64K or 16M colors the computer
that has a Cyber9382 video controller chip.
- (Fix) The overlay position no longer shifts when
the display device switches between LCD and CRT
during the hardware overlay playback with MediaPlayer.
- (Fix) The DOS full screen is no longer corrupted during
the transition to the DOS full screen from the
desktop during hardware overlay playback with MediaPlayer.
- (Fix) The right side of the DOS full screen no longer
overlaps when the DOS full screen initially opens
in U.S. English mode on LCD-only with Windows 95 for Japan.
- (Fix) The MMSYSTEM 266 error message no longer
appears when an MPEG file is played back with
1024x768 resolution and 64K colors.
- (Fix) Noise no longer appears on the overlay window during
hardware overlay playback with MediaPlayer on
the LCD configured for 640x480 resolution and 256 colors.
- (Fix) The overlay position no longer shifts when the
display device switches between LCD and TV (NTSC)
during the hardware overlay playback with MediaPlayer.
- (Fix) The color key is no longer an invalid color (blue and white)
with 64K or 16M colors during hardware overlay
playback with MediaPlayer.
- (Fix) Playback is no longer a hardware overlay after the
refresh rate is changed to 75Hz from 60Hz and
MediaPlayer opens when DirectDraw is enabled.
Installation Guide
------------------
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Open Control Panel and open Display; then click on the
Setting tab.
4. Click on the Change Display Type... button.
5. Make sure that Trident SuperVGA is set to "Adapter type"
(as a default value); then click on Change....
6. Insert the ThinkPad Video Feature Diskette for Windows 95
into the diskette drive.
7. Click on Have disk... and click on OK.
8. Make sure the following is shown as the selection:
- For ThinkPad 760 series
for the enhanced video model: IBM ThinkPad (Cyber9385)
for the standard video model: IBM ThinkPad (Cyber9320)
- For ThinkPad 365X and 365XD: IBM ThinkPad (Cyber9320)
- For ThinkPad 560: IBM ThinkPad (Cyber9385/82) PCI
9. Click on Close.
10. Select your screen parameters from the Color palette,
Desktop area, and Font size; then click on OK.
Note: If you do not know what to choose, it is recommended
that you choose 256 Color for the color palette,
860 by 600 pixels for the Desktop area,
and Small Fonts for the font size.
11. Click on Close; then click on Close again.
12. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Windows 95 prompts you to restart the computer to make
the display driver change effective.
