This procedure will ERASE your current version of FAXWORKS and enable
you to reload FAXWORKS with the ESS drivers. These instructions are for
hardfile drives with volume label of KOATCUS only. This is for use on the
ThinkPad 701 only. This is not a new version of FAXWORKS.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
------------------
1. DC power supply.
2. Floppy diskette drive and cable.
3. Two reload diskettes(FWV701-1, FWV701-2) provided by IBM PC Company.
RELOAD INSTRUCTIONS
-------------------
1. Power on your 701C and exit Windows to a DOS prompt
2. Insert diskette FWV701-1 in to drive A
3. From the A:>, type in go.bat and press enter.
Note: Type in a 'Y', when "Delete directory c:\faxworks and all its
subdirectories?(Y/N)
3. Restart the computer(CTRL-ALT-DEL).
Note: Press Enter to answer yes if a Group File Error occurs.
The message will read: Cannot open program-group file
'C:\WINDOWS\FAXWORKS.GRP'. Do you want
Program Manager to try to load it in the future.
4. From the Windows program manager, run the installation program SETUP.EXE
This can be accomplished by pulling down File, then Run, A:SETUP.EXE.
This will take you through the FAXWORKS install. Follow the directions
given by the program. The FAXWORKS MESSAGES diskette is FVW701-2.
