  2. IBM XGA-2 Butterfly Demo with New Graphic Images

  5. This package contains 10 zip files:

  18. Procedure to set up demo:
  19.  
  20.   1. Download each file in binary to your PC
  21.   2. Use PKUNZIP to decompress each file to diskette
  22.  
  23.      Note: PKUNZIP is available from the PCTOOLS disk in package PKZIBM.

  25.   3. At the a:> type in install and follow directions
  26.  
  27. Prerequisites needed prior to installing demo:
  28.  
  29.   Running under a DOS operating system
  30.   ------------------------------------
  31.  
  32.   Steps:
  33.  
  34.   1. XGA or XGA-2 must be installed on your PS/2 system
  35.  
  36.   2. the XGA DOS Adapter Interface (AI) driver must be installed;
  37.      this driver is available from the DISPLAY tools disk or
  38.      comes with the driver diskettes available with the XGA or
  39.      XGA-2 card
  40.  
  41.   3. A 3MB RAMDRIVE (logical disk) must be set up;
  42.      add the following line to config.sys....
  43.      device=c:\dos\ramdrive.sys 3072 /e
  44.  
  45.  
  46.   Running under OS/2 2.0 operating system
  47.   -----------------------------------------
  48.  
  49.   Steps:
  50.  
  51.   -  Follow step 1 and 2 as described under DOS procedure above
  52.     (demo runs from the DOS compatibility box in full screen)
  53.  
  54.   -  A 3MB logical disk needs to be set up;
  55.      add the following line to config.sys,
  56.      device=c:\OS2\vdisk 3072
  57.

  59. Notes: 1. When running with XGA-2 ensure the DMQS files have been
  60.           properly installed. These are on the XGA-2
  61.           driver diskette and available from the DISPLAY tools disk.

  63.        2. To exit from demo, do the following:
  64.               hit:    ctrl, then break key
  65.               type:   y
  66.               hit:    Enter
  67.               type    mode co80
  68.  
  69.               (should return to the c prompt screen)
