  9. What is the Linkoping Science Fiction & Fantasy archive?

  11.     It is a collection of texts I have saved from USENET during
  12.     the last 7-8 years. It is mostly reviews and list of different
  13.     kinds, but also some other stuff that I've found interesting
  14.     for this or that reason.

  34.     There should really have been two dots over the o, but News
  35.     does not allow 8-bit characters, and MIME isn't wide-spread
  36.     enough yet. This is a visually acceptable compromise.

  42. Some information is missing or incorrect in the archive. How can this be
  43. fixed?

  48.     in the archive is written by other people, and as an archivist
  49.     I don't want to alter their texts, giving the impression that
  50.     they have written something that they in fact have not.

  52. I cannot find the texts I saw recently in rec.arts.sf.written. Have
  53. you missed them?

  55.     I don't read news and save texts on the same system as the one
  56.     the archive resides on, so I collect large batches before I
  57.     transfer the texts to the correct system and sort them into
  58.     place in the archive. This often means some delay, especially
  59.     when I am busy with other things. Don't worry, they will
  60.     appear in the end.

  62. Is the archive searchable?

  64.     Yes, it is. I have some problems with making waisindex do what
  65.     I want without having to run a wais server too, so it is still
  66.     considered somewhat "experimental". It *should* work most of
  67.     the time, though...

  69. What about images and artwork?

  71.     I have a small "gallery" with images from local fan artists. I
  72.     would love to expand it, so if you have any images you want to
  73.     add, contact me. I want to have direct contact with the artist
  74.     in question, as I want to be sure that providing the images is
  75.     OK with them.

  79.     The images are copyrighted by their artist. You may download
  80.     and view them, but not distribute them further. Please respect
  81.     this, so that this service may continue.
