- Subject: 2. Where Can I Find an Intenship in Academia?
-
- 2.1 NSF REU Program
-
- The United States National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates
- (REU) program provides support for undergraduate students in science and engineering
- research projects in an academic setting. REU grants come in two types: 1) REU Sites and
- 2) REU Supplements. REU sites are typically organized around a common theme and are often
- offered during summer months. Recruitment of students from outside the host institution
- is encouraged. REU Supplements are associated with individual NSF awards and are typically
- limited to one or two undergraduate students.
-
- NSF REU Home Page
- Home page for all REU programs. Keep a close eye on this site in the spring if you are
- interested. The time between award announcement by NSF and site application deadlines
- is often quite short.
