  227.     As of November 1, 1994, the default distribution for PNS-L has 
  228.     been changed to DIGEST.  The options for  DIGEST have been set 
  229.     to:
  230.         
  231.         a) 500+ lines.
  232.         b) weekly.
  233.           c) 11:30 pm    
  234.  
  235.     In simple words, it means, all the incoming articles for PNS-L
  236.     are saved in  a file. Everyday at 11:30pm, it checks to see if 
  237.     either of the two situations are met, specifically,  the saved
  238.     file  is  more  than 500 lines long or if it has been one week 
  239.     since last  publication. If any of the  criterion  is  met,  a 
  240.     publication is generated in 'digest' form and distributed. 
  241.  
  242.     The benefit of this setup include less overhead on parts of the
  243.     PNS-L staff and consistency of at least one publication a week. 
  244.     
  245.     Subscribers are free to change their distribution options at any
  246.     time  by sending an email message to: listserv@psuvm.bitnet, the 
  247.     syntax of command sent as text of the email message should be:
