  109.     it's not a sex group" newsgroup had resulted in it having a slightly
  110.     wider distribution than other newsgroups (equally free of
  111.     advertisements, such as the alt.binaries.erotica.nospam hierarchy,
  112.     where such pictures are appropriate.

  122.     without the filtering seen in their "fish" letters page.  Therefore
  123.     it is carried slightly more widely than the alt.binaries.erotica

  142.     and I set up alt.fan.suckdotcom after "the fish" decided not to
  143.     print a letter I wrote to sucksters@suck.com.  Prior to the recent
  144.     deluge of fellatio pictures I was the primary source of content on
  145.     alt.fan.suckdotcom.  I think usenet is still an interesting
  146.     platform for discussion, and free political discourse, and have put
  147.     what I guess was merely the first of many sets of many hours into the
  148.     tiresome chore of keeping alt.fan.suckdotcom free of sex ads, in
  149.     order that it might be appropriate to have on the distribution list
  150.     of a usenet server in a high school or a public library where it
  151.     could be read by children.  Has graphic fellatio photography
  152.     suddenly become relevant to a discussion of, avant-garde and cynical?
  153.     No, alt.fan.suckdotcom has been overrun by  people who are posting
  154.     to the wrong group.  I am not going to stand by and see all the work

  163.     newsgroup and kick off the spammers! http://www.abuse.net may give you
  164.     pointers on how to interpret the NNTP-Posting-Host: or X-Trace: header
  165.     in a message and send a message to the administrators with the
  166.     capability to disuser the offending trespasser. Most ISPs in the
  167.     civilised internet have Acceptable Use Policies which define "abuse" as
  168.     "generating complaints." Install Linux and you will get a tool
  169.     "/usr/sbin/traceroute" which will tell you what higher-level ISP
  170.     provides the internet service to the ISP your offender is using, you can
  171.     complain to them if the ISP does not take action.  With netscape
  172.     communicator there's a "view document source" command on the "View" menu
  173.     that will show you the normally hidden header fields for a particular
  174.     article.  "Path:" is all the servers the document went through to get to
  175.     you, "nntp-posting-host" is the  machine the poster used when they
  176.     posted the article.

  182. A:  Yes there are.  In case your usenet server doesn't have them, you
  183.     will need to talk to your ISP's usenet admins about getting them.
  184.     At my university we get our newsfeed from
  185.     <a href="http://news-stats.sprintlink.net"><i>Sprint</i></a> and it
  186.     has hundreds of declaredly commercial-free erotic binaries newsgroups.
  187.     If your news feed has "alt.fan.suckdotcom" on it but not, for instance,
  188.     alt.binaries.nospam.multimedia.erotica or alt.binaries.nospam.coed.toads
  189.     and you really want to use your newsreaders to swap erotica, you need to
  190.     change internet service providers because you got a "family" service when
  191.     you wanted to get an "adult" service.  The word to mention when you sign
  192.     up is "adult content."

  216.     of vi. Although I don't use the extended features all that much.
