  40. 1. WHO IS HARRY BROWNE?

  42.   Harry Browne is the Libertarian candidate for president in 1996.  He is
  43.   expected to be on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia
  44.   this November.

  46.   Harry Browne is an author, a public speaker, and an investment advisor.
  47.   His ten books have sold 2,100,000 copies, and four of them reached the
  48.   best-seller lists.

  50.   He became widely known in the early 1970s through _How You Can Profit from
  51.   the Coming Devaluation_, _How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World_, and
  52.   _You Can Profit from a Monetary Crisis_ (which was #1 on the _New York

  55.   Since 1974 he has been writing _Harry Browne's Special Reports_ -- a
  56.   newsletter that provides commentary on the economy, investments, government,

  124.    occupation and employer.

  126.     Note:  Federal law requires political committees to report the name,
  127.            mailing address, and occupation and name of employer for each
  128.            individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a
  129.            calendar year.  Federal law prohibits individuals from donating
  130.            more than $1000 for the general election campaign.  But this is
  131.            a separate limit from the one for the nominating campaign; if you
  132.            contributed prior to the nomination, you can still contribute
  133.            $1000 now.  You can donate $1000 for each member of your family,
  134.            by writing a separate $1000 check for each person and noting
  135.            the name of the person on the check (provided the donated money
  136.            actually belongs to that person).  Checks drawn on corporate
  137.            or union accounts cannot be accepted.

  139. 5. CAN I GET BUMPER STICKERS, BUTTONS, ETC.?

  141.   Yes.  Buttons and bumper stickers are available for $1 each.  Brochures
  142.   are $15 for 100.  There are also yard signs for $5.  These amounts include
  143.   the cost of shipping.  Send your request to the address listed above.

  145.   Under federal campaign finance regulations, payments for such items are
  146.   considered contributions.  Please enclose with your check a note giving
  147.   your name, address, and occupation and employer.
