  29. There is not a bright line separating domain providers and account 
  30. providers. In general, domain providers sell Internet links to 
  31. organizations, account providers sell e-mail accounts to individuals.

  489.  
  490. Erik J. Heels has been writing about law and technology since 1992 (when 
  491. The Legal List was first released) and is starting his second decade on 
  492. the Internet. His first started when he entered the Massachusetts 
  493. Institute of Technology in 1984. He graduated from MIT in 1988 with a 
  494. degree in electrical engineering. In the years following MIT, he spent 
  495. four years as a United States Air Force officer and worked for various 
  496. high-tech firms in the Route 128 region of Boston. His interest in law 
  497. and technology led him to the University of Maine School of Law in 
  498. Portland, Maine, from where he graduated (early) in December 1994. 
  499. Before entering the Air Force, Erik spent some time working as an 
  500. engineer in Finland. While in Finland, he met Pirjo, whom he married 
  501. three years later. He now works for Lawyers Cooperative Publishing out 
  502. of their offices at Counterpoint Publishing in Cambridge, MA, where he 
  503. is an Internet Systems Architect. Erik and Pirjo and their one-year-old 
  504. son, Samuel, now live in Eliot, Maine.
