  1. This file contains the most recent listing of available files in Misc_stuff
  2. as well as a short description of each. Most are GNUzipped (.gz) tar files.
  3. You will need the '../GNU_stuff/gzip_*.bin.tar.Z' file (which contains the
  4. GNUzip utility 'gzip|gunzip') to decompress these.
  5.  
  6. Diff-files can be applied by using 'patch' which is available precompiled
  7. as '../Utilities/patch.bin.tar.gz'
  8.  
  9. A1.README::
  10.     A text file description of all files in this directory.
  11.  
  12. CSFont.sit.hqx::
  13.     This is a BinHexed stuffit file of the CSFont font. Basically, it's
  14.     a hacked up version of Courier that looks quite a bit better than
  15.     either Courier or Monaco under A/UX's CommandShell.
  16.  
  17. Dart.sit.hqx::
  18.     DART v1.5.3... A DiskCopy "replacement" that works well under A/UX...
  19.     Allows you to create actual floppies from DiskCopy image files.
  20.  
  21. FMbackup.tar.gz::
  22.     A nice little Extension package, from Ron Flax (ron@afsg.apple.com),
  23.     that creates backups of required Desktop file. Prevents the need
  24.     for a Desktop rebuild when the MacOS-environment crashes under
  25.     A/UX.
  26.  
  27. FixErrorPage.sea.hqx::
  28.     A nice little MacOS application that sets the Mode Select Error
  29.     Page of SCSI disks to A/UX-required values. Needed for SyQuests
  30.     and writable Opticals.
  31.  
  32. HFSmount.tar.gz::
  33.     Application written by Tony Cooper that searches all your online SCSI
  34.     disks and attempts to mount _all_ your HFS partitions. It _may_
  35.     work but don't count on it :)
  36.  
  37. Notify.tar.gz::
  38.     A very elegant Mac-A/UX hybrid application that uses the
  39.     Notification Manager to tell you if you've received mail.
