  3. A significant number of early customers had experienced problems with Warp
  4. Family FixPak XR_W016. In response, IBM has released FixPak XR_W017 which
  5. resolves most of the reported problems.
  6.  
  7. If you are a Lotus Notes V4.0 customer and you have been directed to download
  8. and apply FixPak XR_W016 or XR_W016A to your OS/2 Warp system, then please
  9. use FixPak XR_W017 instead.

  12. Ways to Obtain FixPak XR_W017
  13. -----------------------------

  15. Publicly available OS/2 FixPaks can be downloaded from the following sites:

  26.   OS2SUPPO).

  52. You must download the following files to apply the FixPaks.  This 
  53. table indicates the Boot Diskettes you need.

  76.   Files with the .DSK or .xDK extension (where x is a number; for
  77.   example, 1DK, 2DK) are in SAVEDSKF format.

  79.   1. Download file LDF.COM to get the LOADDSKF.EXE program to unpack
  80.      files to diskettes.

  82.   2. Run LDF from the OS/2 command prompt. A program called LOADDSKF
  83.      appears in the directory.

  85.   3. Type LOADDSKF xxxxxA: to create the new diskette (xxxxx is the
  86.      file name).

  89.   Creating Diskettes from the Images
  90.   ----------------------------------
  91.   1. Put all files in a single directory.
  92.  
  93.   2. Type LDF and press Enter. This uncompresses LDF.COM and creates
  94.      the file, LOADDSKF.EXE, which is used to put the diskette images
  95.      onto diskettes.
  96.  
  97.      The diskette images have a .DSK or .xDK extension (x is the
  98.      sequence of the downloaded diskette images, starting at 1.

  100.   3. Insert a blank, formatted, 1.44 MB, 3.5-inch diskette in drive A.

  102.   4. Type LOADDSKF IMAGE.DSK A: and press Enter.
  103.  
  104.      Note: Specify a different drive, if appropriate (for example, B).

  106.   The first diskette image has the README.1ST file that provides
  107.   instructions for applying the FixPak to your system.

  114. Type HELP at the BBS main menu if you need help.

  116. If you cannot find the files given to you by the OS/2 Support 
  117. Technician, search all libraries.
