How to Extract Your ACECAD Driver Suite and Create a new
Drivers/Utilities Diskette
---------------------------------------------------------
1. Download either the .ZIP or .EXE version of the Driver Suite
corresponding to your tablet (the .EXE version is self-extracting,
the .ZIP version requires PKUNZIP).
2. Extract this file to a directory of your choice. Make sure and note the
name of this directory!
3. Verify that the file you just extracted expanded into the following:
- MAKEDISK.TXT (this file)
- MAKEDISK.BAT
- ACAT1.EXE or ACAT2.EXE or ACAT3.EXE or ASERS.EXE or DSERS.EXE
4. Label a blank, formatted floppy diskette as "ACECAD Drivers & Utilities"
and insert it in your disk drive.
6. If you are using Windows 95/98, click on Start, then Programs then MS-DOS
Prompt. If you are using Windows 3.X, simply exit Windows. If you are
using Windows NT, open a Command Prompt.
7. At the C:\WINDOWS> prompt, type CD\ and press <enter>. At the C:\>
prompt, type CD\TEMP (where TEMP is the name of the directory to which
you extracted the file in step 2.)
8. At the C:\TEMP> prompt, type MAKEDISK.BAT and press <enter>. You will be
prompted for the drive letter of the disk drive into which you inserted
your new ACECAD Drivers & Utilities diskette (see step 4).
9. If the diskette is in drive A:, press A. If the diskette is in drive B:,
press B . The appropriate files and directory structure will be added to
the the diskette. NOTE: You may escape the process by pressing CTRL-C.
10. When it is finished your new Drivers/Utilities diskette should contain 6
or 7 subdirectories and 4 or 7 files (depending on driver version).
11. Please see the README.DOC file on the root directory of your new
Drivers/Utilities diskette for driver installation instructions.
