  29. 1.0 Location of installation files for IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,
  30.     Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8

  32. The following  installation files for IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,
  33. Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 have been moved to the
  34. \java118 directory on the Convenience Package for OS/2 Warp(R)
  35. Server for e-business Installation CD:

  39.     javainsr.exe
  40.     javainst.exe
  41.     javaintk.exe

  46. 2.0 Java 1.1.8 CLASSPATH verification
  47. -------------------------------------
  48. The Java 1.1.8 Runtime Environment is installed with the Convenience
  49. Package.  After installation, you should examine the CLASSPATH entry
  50. in the CONFIG.SYS file, and ensure that it includes the following path
  51. information:

  53.     x:\java11\lib\classes.zip
  54.  
  55.     (where x: is the drive where the IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,
  56.     Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 was installed)
  57.  
  58. If the path information is not in the CLASSPATH entry, you will
  59. need to add it manually.

  62. 3.0 LSI Logic SDMS drivers
  63. --------------------------
  64. Current LSI Logic SDMS drivers for OS/2 can be downloaded from
  65. the LSI Logic web site at http://www.lsilogic.com. After being
  66. connected to this web site, click on the Support option in the
  67. menu bar. Go to the "Software and drivers for Symbios brand PCI
  68. host adapters" section. Under the SCSI menu, choose OS/2 and
  69. click on the Go button. Then select the chipset or model
  70. number of your host adapter card, and download the appropriate
  71. driver based on the selection made.

  74. 4.0 Installing Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL clients
  75.     on the Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business
  76. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
  77. After you have installed an IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL client on a Convenience
  78. Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business server you must take
  79. one extra step.

  81. Unzip the file \CID\SERVER\IBMLS\IBM500R2\UPMEXR.ZIP on the Convenience
  82. Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4 CD into the MUGLIB\DLL directory in the
  83. RIPL tree for the client.

  86. 5.0 Limit on number of LVM partitions
  87. -------------------------------------
  88. Do not create more than 120 total partitions when creating volumes
  89. on your system with the Logical Volume Manager (LVM).  Exceeding
  90. this total might cause data loss.
