  6. This README ADDENDA contains late-breaking, last-minute additions
  7. to the README for the Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server
  8. for e-business (also called the "Convenience Package"). Because of
  9. the last-minute nature of this file, it is available only in English.

  33. The following  installation files for IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,
  34. Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 have been moved to the
  35. \java118 directory on the Convenience Package for OS/2 Warp(R)
  36. Server for e-business Installation CD:

  39.     javainrt.exe
  40.     javainsr.exe
  41.     javainst.exe
  42.     javaintk.exe
  43.

  47. 2.0 Java 1.1.8 CLASSPATH verification
  48. -------------------------------------
  49. The Java 1.1.8 Runtime Environment is installed with the Convenience
  50. Package.  After installation, you should examine the CLASSPATH entry
  51. in the CONFIG.SYS file, and ensure that it includes the following path
  52. information:
  53.  
  54.     x:\java11\lib\classes.zip
  55.  
  56.     (where x: is the drive where the IBM OS/2 Warp Developer Kit,
  57.     Java(TM) Technology Edition, Version 1.1.8 was installed)
  58.  
  59. If the path information is not in the CLASSPATH entry, you will
  60. need to add it manually.
  61.  
  62.  
  63. 3.0 LSI Logic SDMS drivers
  64. --------------------------
  65. Current LSI Logic SDMS drivers for OS/2 can be downloaded from
  66. the LSI Logic web site at http://www.lsilogic.com. After being
  67. connected to this web site, click on the Support option in the
  68. menu bar. Go to the "Software and drivers for Symbios brand PCI
  69. host adapters" section. Under the SCSI menu, choose OS/2 and
  70. click on the Go button. Then select the chipset or model
  71. number of your host adapter card, and download the appropriate
  72. driver based on the selection made.

  75. 4.0 Installing Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL clients
  76.     on the Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business
  77. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
  78. After you have installed an IBM OS/2 Warp 4 RIPL client on a Convenience
  79. Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business server you must take
  80. one extra step.

  82. Unzip the file \CID\SERVER\IBMLS\IBM500R2\UPMEXR.ZIP on the
  83. Convenience Package for IBM OS/2 Warp Server for e-business CD
  84. into the MUGLIB\DLL directory in the RIPL tree for the client.

  87. 5.0 Limit on number of LVM partitions
  88. -------------------------------------
  89. Do not create more than 120 total partitions when creating volumes
  90. on your system with the Logical Volume Manager (LVM).  Exceeding
  91. this total might cause data loss.

  94. 6.0 Reinstalling the HPFS386 feature
  95. ------------------------------------
  96. Do not reinstall HPFS386 over an existing copy of HPFS386.
  97. Before you reinstall HPFS386, you must first uninstall it.
