  8. Duplicate File Finder runs on Windows Windows 2000, XP, Windows
  9. 2003, Vista, & Windows 7. The program is available in 32 and 64-
  10. bit (x64 only).

  12. Windows 95, 98, & ME users: Although the program is no longer
  13. officially supported on those operating systems it should continue
  14. to function (32-bit only). You must have the latest patched
  15. versions that were available from Microsoft at the end of the
  16. product lifecycles for these operation systems. Please note we
  17. cannot guarantee future compatibility as these operating systems
  18. and the hardware they run on are now outdated.

  20. To install Duplicate File Finder follow the instructions below.

  22. We prefer you install via our self-installer because the installer
  23. sets up an uninstall function in Control Panel, Add-Remove
  24. Programs. If you prefer a zip file you can download one from our
  25. web site. Visit http://funduc.com/dupfiles.htm for a download
  26. link.

  28. See 'FileList.txt' for a description of the files installed. All
  29. files are put in the path of your choice. C:\Tools\DupFiles is the
  30. suggested but you can change this if you like.

  34. Installation Instructions
  35. -------------------------

  37. 1. Unzip the contents of the archive into a temporary subdirectory.
  38.  
  39. 2. Run 'setupdf.exe' to install the program. The installer will
  40. prompt you for the path to install to. C:\Program Files\DupFiles is the
  41. suggested default but you can use any path you wish.

  43. 3. Delete the temporary files from this zip.

  46. Uninstall Instructions

  49. 1. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
  50.  
  51. 2. Scroll down until you see 'Duplicate File Finder'.

  53. 3. Click on the Add/Remove button.
