A M I G A F O N T E D I T O R
In the interest of providing what seems to be a much needed utility
for all those Amiga users out there, I present "Font Editor" (clever
name, huh?). This has not been fully tested and I know that there
are bugs in this release of the program. However, if you feel that
you need to get something off your shoulders, you may contact me
at:
Tim Robinson

Tulsa, OK 74133
(Contributions toward maintaining this software would be appreciated.
$5.00 would be fine.)
Installation:
Extract the file "info" and rename it "Font Edit.info". Also extract
the file "fonted" and rename it "Font Edit" also. Put them in the
same directory and you are all set. (If you don't like the name,
rename it... I don't care. After all, it is YOUR machine.)
How to use:
Turn the "DRAW" gadget on and off to either draw or erase pixels in
the box. Near the bottom edge of the big box is where you control
where the proportional spacing setting. The font editor will not let
you put that line further left than the rightmost pixel. If you don't
save the font in proportional mode, than don't bother diddling with
the proportional gizmo. Most settings don't do beans while the program
is running. For example, "BOLD, UNDERLINE, REVERSE, PROPORTIONAL", etc.
are merely saved as flags to the font.
Problems:
The "DRAW" gadget sometimes doesn't properly reflect the current drawing
status. I have also had problems when I press the depth gadget while
the DRAW gadget is on. It appears to be bug in Intuition.
The screen gets messed up if you reduce the size of the box to smaller
than the character displayed.
"Save" and "Save As" are the same thing. Sorry.
