  10. Release notes for this version of Netscape Navigator are available 
  11. online.  After starting the program, select "Release Notes" from the 
  12. "Help" menu.  This will take you to the URL

  14. which lists new features and known problems of this release.

  16. To submit bugs or other feedback, use the "How To Give Feedback"

  23. possible about the version of Netscape you are using, and the hardware

  28.                           Installation Instructions

  31. This version of Netscape comes with an installer which will let you 
  32. choose between 68000, PowerPC and FAT binaries of Netscape.
  33.  
  34. Installation Steps:
  35.  
  36. 1) Download the .HQX file to your Macintosh.  If you are using 
  37. Netscape to do the download and your machine is correctly configured, 
  38. Netscape will automatically run the correct program to decode the .HQX 
  39. file.  If not, you wil need to use one of the many utilities which can 
  40. decode .HQX files (Binhex format), we recommend something in the 
  41. StuffIt family of products, such as "StuffIt Expander"
  42.  
  43. 2) To install Netscape, double click the installer named "Netscape 1.1 
  44. Installer".

  46. a)  Press "Install" to get a binary which matches your Macintosh CPU.
  47.  
  48. b) To install a FAT binary which will run on all Macintoshes, select 
  49. "Custom Install" by pulling down the menu in the upper left corner of 
  50. the installer window, and then press the "Install" button.

  52. 3) Remember to read the release notes mentioned above.  They contain 
  53. helpful and up-to-date information about running this version of Netscape.
