  14. Welcome to the Demonstration program for Top-Down Library.
  15.  
  16. This version requires the runtime DLL files for Xbase++ version 1.3.  A
  17. copy of these runtime files can be downloaded from the Top-Down web site.
  18.  
  19. Top-Down Library version 1.1 is now shipping, and includes a printed
  20. manual with Tutorial, and all the source code for this Demo and for
  21. the Tutorial application.
  22.  
  23. Top-Down Library may be purchased from Grafx Software at 800-659-4723, or at
  24. their web site.  The Top-Down page at Grafx is found at
  25. www.grafxsoft.com/topdown.htm.

  27. The current retail price is $229, and the Grafx discount price is $179.
  28. On January 1, 2000, the retail price will become $249.  By then Top-Down
  29. will be available from other distributors, I don't know how much they
  30. will discount it.

  35.                              INSTALLING THIS DEMO
  36.  
  37. This demo package contains this readme file, the demo program td11demo.exe,
  38. and several other files.
  39.  
  40. Running tddemo.exe  with a -d switch, like this:   tddemo -d
  41.  
  42. will create a \DATA folder underneath the program folder, and extract the
  43. following files:
  44.  
  45.  - td11Demo.exe, jawbon4.wav in the  program folder
  46.  
  47.  - two DBF's, an FPT, and a CDX in the \DATA folder
  48.  
  49.  
  50. NOTE: this demo exe requires the Xbase++ runtime DLL files from Xbase++
  51. version 1.3.  If you have Xbase++ installed the demo will run ok.
  52. If not, be sure to download the runtime package from the web site.

  58. If you are using the European currency settings with comma decimal marker
  59. and either blank or period thousands separater, be sure to run the Demo
