  11.    IBM's Internet Connection Phone enables real-time, full-duplex
  12.    voice communication over TCP/IP networks, such as LAN or Internet.
  13.    It is based on IBM's technology for real-time transfer of voice
  14.    over data networks.

  27.    2.  Installing IC Phone

  31.        For Windows 95:
  32.        - Select the Start task from the task bar, then select Run.
  33.        - On the Run line, enter:
  34.             d:\install  (where 'd:' is the drive on which the IC Phone install
  35.                         program is located)
  36.    b.  Follow the installation instructions.
  37.    c.  Connect to your provider using the IAK or any other Internet access
  38.        software.

  42.    3.  Operating IC Phone

  45.    a.  To activate the software, double click on the IC Phone icon.
  46.    b.  From the main window, choose 'Setup', enter your email address
  47.        and the IC Phone server's address, and click "OK".
  48.    c.  Press the 'Call' button, and enter the email of the person you
  49.        wish to call.  To see a list of all the users who are currently
  50.        logged on, press the User List button.
  51.    d.  When you finish the call, press the 'Hangup' button.

  57.    4.  Uninstalling IC Phone
  58.    =========================

  60.    a.  To remove IC Phone, double-click the "IC Phone Uninstall" icon
  61.        that was installed with the product.
  62.    b.  To complete the removal of IC Phone, you need to run EPFIDEFI.BAT
  63.        from the root directory of your boot drive.  This removes the IC Phone
  64.        Uninstall program itself.

  69.    Note about disabling V.42 compression
  70.  
  71.    To get better performance from IC Phone, you should disable the V.42
  72.    compression of the modem.

  74.    The following describes how to disable  V.42 compression:

  78.    1.  From the "My Computer" folder, open "Dial-up Networking".
  79.    2.  Click the right mouse button on the "IBM Global Network" object,
  80.        and select "Properties" from the popup menu.
  81.    3.  In the Properties dialog box, press the "Configure" button.
  82.    4.  In the Configure dialog box, choose the "Connection" tab.
  83.    5.  Press the "Advanced..." button.
  84.    6.  In the Advanced Connection Settings dialog box, uncheck the "compress
  85.        data" checkbox.
