  100.    3.  Installing IC Phone on the new Aptivas:
  101.    ===========================================

  103.    There is a problem with the Aptiva and the ICPhone Setup 
  104.    program. The ICN201AP.EXE is an alternative for this 
  105.    installation program. After extracting the ICPhone files, 
  106.    you can manually install the program by following these 
  107.    simple (we hope) instructions.
  108.  
  109.    a.  Download the ICN201AP.EXE program to the directory 
  110.        you want the ICPhone installed in.
  111.        NOTE: It is recommended you call it ICPHONE.
  112.  
  113.    b.  Change to the directory where you saved the file.
  114.  
  115.    c.  Double-click the icon for the self extracting zip file 
  116.        ICN200AP.EXE, or specify it's full path after choosing RUN 
  117.        from the Win95 task bar.
  118.  
  119.    d.  Copy the following files 
  120.        mfc42.dll, msvcirt.dll, msvcrt.dll
  121.        into your system directory (eg C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).
  122.        NOTE: These files are System files: if you have newer files
  123.        installed, it is recommended you DO NOT replace them.
  124.        In this case, your program should work, without copying the 
  125.        files.

  127.    e.  copy the file SDPSERV.INI into your WINDOWS directory.
  128.        (eg C:\WINDOWS).
  129.  
  130.    f.  Connect to your Internet provider using the IAK or any 
  131.         other Internet access software.  
  132.  
  133.    g.  {optionally) 
  134.        Add an ICPhone icon to your desktop by clicking with the 
  135.        right mouse button on an empty spot in your desktop.
  136.        Select new.  Select shortcut.
  137.        Browse and find SDP32.EXE. 
  138.        In "Select a name for the shortcut" write: "IBM IC Phone"

  142.    4.  Operating IC Phone

  145.    a.  To activate the software, 
  146.        run the SDP32.EXE program in the directory you chose, 
  147.        either by double clickin on it, from the explorer, or selecting
  148.        START and RUN and finding it with BROWSE.
  149.        Or if you created a shortcut as specified in 'g', double click
  150.        on the icon.

  152.    b.  From the main IC Phone window, click the Setup button.
  153.  
  154.    c.  Enter your email address, select an IC Phone server,
  155.        and click the OK button.
  156.  
  157.    d.  Click the Call button, and enter the Email address of the 
  158.        person you wish to call.  To see a list of all the IC Phone 
  159.        users, click the User List button.

  161.    e.  When you finish the call, click the Hangup button.
  162.

  168.    5.  Uninstalling IC Phone

  171.    To remove IC Phone:

  173.    a.  Manually delete the installed files.
  174.        If the program had been run once, there will be an 
  175.        extra SDP.INI file in the Windows directory. It is safe 
  176.        to erase this file.
