  42. News offers a simple information system for local use. It allows one
  43. user to write and delete news and all the rest to read news. The
  44. advantage of this system is, that every user just need to read a new
  45. topic once and not on every login (as forces to by a MOTD.) News
  46. supports several options, the `-w` (write a new article) and `-d`
  47. (delete one or a range of old article) may only be used by the super
  48. user (or the user set using sysinfo.) News without options allows to
  49. read the news, the option `-s` just counts the new topics since last
  50. read and `-n` just shows the Subject lines of the news. You can insert
  51. the news command (if you want with the -s or -n option) in your '.login'
  52. file.
