  1. UUCPbb v2.1 is an update the OS-9 UUCP package UUCPbb v2.0.  UUCPbb is an
  2. update of Rick Adams' original OS-9 UUCP.

  4. Due to differences in compression between the OS-9/68K and OS-9/6809 version
  5. of LHA, we have decided to use the lowest common denominator for archiving.
  6. Since OS-9/6809 LHA 2.11b and OS-9/68K LHA 2.01 generate compatible archive
  7. files, these are the archivers that were used for this package.  For this
  8. reason, OS-9/68K should use LHA 2.01 dearchive these files.

  10. All the archives were created with LHA 2.11b.  To burst the archives under
  11. OS-9/6809 you will either need LHA211 or UNLZH7.  Both are available on
  12. chestnut.cs.wisc.edu and Delphi.

  14. This program will compile and run under OS-9/6809 Level 2 on the Tandy Color
  15. Computer 3 and OS-9/68K (OSK).  It runs on a 512K CoCo.  It will probably run
  16. run a 128K, but I have not tested this.  It has been tested on the MM/1 and
  17. System IV & V.  It has not (yet :-) been compiled under OS-9000.

  19. I am reasonably sure I have squished most of the bugs in v2.0 which were
  20. reported to me .  If I missed any, let me know.

  23. v2.1 is distributed as 5 individual files.

  25. You need the following files in order to compile and run this software:

  27.    uucpbb21.lzh         -the source code
  28.    uub21doc.lzh         -documentation and miscellaneous files

  30. Not required but a good idea for OS-9/6809:
  31.  
  32.    clib1990.lzh     -this is the 1990 edition of Carl Kreider's CLIB
  33.    cc250.lzh        -latest replacement of Carl Kreider's C compiler executive

  36. The package is also now available in an "add water and stir" form for both
  37. the CoCo and OSK.  Unfortunately, these executable files are rather large.
  38. There is no real way to crunch them down significantly.

  40. The CoCo executables were compiled both with and without termcap support.  The
  41. OSK execuatables were compiled only with termcap support.

  43. For OSK you need the file:

  45.    uub21osk.lzh         -executable modules for OS-9/68K
  46.  
  47. For the CoCo, you can choose between two files:
  48.  
  49.    uub21os91.lzh        -executable modules for OS-9/6809 with a 6809
  50.    uub21os92.lzh        -executable modules for OS-9/6809 with a 6309
  51.  
  52. If you opt for the executable files, you will also need the docs archive.

  54. Starting with this version UUCPbb is now completely user configurable.  The
  55. only hard-coded directory is /DD/SYS/UUCP.
