  3. This directory contains the Lout source files for the
  4. report entitled `The design and implementation of the
  5. Lout document formatting language'  which has been
  6. accepted for publication in Software - Practice and
  7. Experience.  To produce the report, type the command
  8.  
  9.     lout setup s?.? >-outfile.ps
  10.  
  11. in this directory.  This must be done three times to
  12. completely resolve all cross references, although
  13. the PostScript file outfile.ps is printable after
  14. the first run.  Auxiliary files with .li and .ld
  15. suffixes will be created in this directory.  A copy
  16. of the final outfile.ps is included.
