hiffrecord - Version 1.02

HIFFRECORD allows the recording of IFF Stereo, Monophonic
and Stereo as monophonic sounds to a disc. For best results
set the recording buffers size to a multiple of the
sampling frequency. If the recording buffers size is not
specified the default is twice the sampling frequency.
Recording may be interrupted anytime by pressing CTRL-E or
CTRL-C. Valid sampling frequencies are in the range of 1117
Hz to 30720 Hz. SNDDRV will adjust the specified frequency
if it is not a multiple the timer will use.

Parameters maybe be in either uppercase or lowercase, or
both. The '=' is optional where applicable.
-? Quick Help
-m=<channel> Record Mono from L-Left or R-Right Channel,
or B-Both Channels as Monophonic
-f=<frequency> Sampling Frequency in Hertz (Hz)
-s=<seconds> Length of time to record in seconds
-b=<size> Size of record buffers

A sufficiently FAST SCSI disc drive is required for proper
operation. If other processes are going to be accessing the
disc use large buffers to prevents sound gaps. When
recording stereo sound as monophonic the conversion is done
in real-time. Other processes can potentially interfere
with conversion and can cause gaps in the sound and
hiffrecord not to exit properly. If this happens use CTRL-E
or CTRL-C to regain control. HIFFRECORD is machine specific
and is only supported on the dual board MM/1 with at least
1 megabyte of memory and SCSI disc drive.
