  5.   Usage: FONTSPAN fontfile(s)
  6.  
  7. For each of the font files (wild cards ok) specified in the commnand line,
  8. FONTSPAN determines and prints the maximal and minimal rows of the font
  9. nmatrix which are actually used by the font. FONTSPAN also prints the
  10. first boundary characters which give rise to these extermal values. This
  11. information can be used as a basis for a decision for trimming the font
  12. to its ``true'' height
  13.  
  14. FLAGS
  15.   -s         Th span information is printed only if it doesn't
  16.              match the font height as determined from file size
  17.
