  1. Ok, so you're anxious to install windio #56 on your MM/1.  But before you
  2. jump into it, please read this file in its entirety.

  4. Quick Installation Tips:
  5.  
  6. To install windio #56 on your system, it is suggested that you first make
  7. a floppy boot.  This will give you a chance to verify that the installation
  8. is correct.
  9.  
  10. The following modules in the MODS subdirectory will need to be placed
  11. in the bootfile on the floppy:
  12.  
  13.     - windio.070 OR windio.340 (for the 68070 and 68340 MM/1's respectively)
  14.     - snddrv.070 OR snddrv.340 (for the 68070 and 68340 MM/1's respectively)
  15.     - keydrv
  16.     - stdfonts OR deskmate (for standard or deskmate fonts, respectively)
  17.     - w, term, w1, w2, w3, w4, w5, w6, w7, w8, w9, w10, w11, w12
  18.  
  19. It is highly recommended that you replace ALL old windio modules with the
  20. ones in this package.
  21.  
  22. Once the boot disk has been generated, reboot your MM/1.  At the shell
  23. prompt, type:
  24.  
  25.         KMouse
  26.  
  27.     to activate the mouse.  If your mouse is on a port other than /t2, then
  28. you will need to type:
  29.  
  30.         KMouse -p/PORT
  31.  
  32.     where PORT is the name of your serial port that the mouse is located on.
  33. Note that you MUST have a device driver AND descriptor for that serial port
  34. in memory in order to use the mouse.
