  8. Papers by staff and students, occasional and departmental working papers
  9. can be found in the relevant directories under /pub.
  10.  
  11. Some larger files, with a .Z suffix, have been compressed for storage
  12. and transfer.
  13. They should be transfered as BINARY files. This can be done by issuing
  14. the command "binary" at the ftp prompt before transferring them:
  15.      ftp> binary
  16. When you have transferred the file it can be expanded by wit the
  17. UNIX command "uncompress":
  18.         > uncompress <filename>
