Designed for WB 2 you can play against the computer or another person or just watch the computer play against itself. You play the role of Beetle and have to go negotiate your way around the garden, picking up the worms and vegetables and avoiding the nasty axes, fire and water. When you've collected everything you then teleport to the next level. The good thing about this is that the levels change each time you play. If you're looking for small detailed stuff then you can forget this. Nearly all of the clips are massive 2 screens high jobs covering everything in common with the season of goodwill. 2805 IMAGINE TEXTURE MAPS This disk contains 36 320x200 JPEG stone texture maps for any rendering package. They will work fine with the coverdisk version of Imagine. 2806 IMAGINE BITS & BATS This disk contains 11 320x200 JPEG wood texture maps for any rendering package. They will work fine with the coverdisk version of Imagine. Based on The Edges `Fireforce', it is very similar and takes a few ideas from Green Beret. Basic walking, shooting action but the gfx and sound are excellent. Please note, this is a demo version and requires 5 pounds sending off to the author for the full version. An interesting animation of a man who commits suicide while a crowd watch. First he blows his head off and then... **1.5 MB REQUIRED** 2853 SUICIDE MAN 2 Suicide Man is back again in yet another sick anim. This time he resorts to scaling a cliff and then blowing his head off much to the amusement of the watching audience. Excellent animation, consisting of suicide man, some lemmings, and a chain saw. Very very sick. **1.5 MB REQUIRED** 2855 GARDEN DESIGNER LandScape is a sort of poor-mans CAD (Computer Aided Design) program that allows you to design (landscape) a garden. It consists of two parts: a design module, where you lay out the design of your garden (using a small selection of plants, and other garden objects), and a drawing module, which takes the design, and draws a stylised 3D version from any viewpoint of what the garden would look like in real life. 2857 ASSASINS A1200 FIXES (AGA MACHINES ONLY) Got some games that won't work on the all singing, all dancing wonder machines. Fantastic!! 2886 AZSPELL V2.02 The best PD spellchecking program on the Amiga is back in its latest form. Now recognises over 22000 words. Not a lot you might think, But i bet you can think of very few words that it doesnt know. (Unless youve got a BA in Sociology!!). Also on here is AZConfig giving the ability for the user to set up the speller with particular preferences. There are a couple of other AZ utils on here too. 2887 ONFORM V1.1 Onform is THE number one invoice/order printing program for the Amiga. Items you can fill in are Company address, Tel No. Fax No. Vat No. Customer address, Credit Card Details, etc etc. An excellent business utility for all you tycoons out there. Also on here is Addressprint V3.1 to allow you to print address labels easily. **SHAREWARE** 2888 ADDRESSPRINT V4.0 Address print is by far the best label printing utility to be found in the Public Domain. It prints addresses and it does it damn well too. What more could a person want. **SHAREWARE** 2889 MELON ART SLIDESHOW Around 15 superb quality pictures on this disk from some of the best gfx'ers on the Amiga today. From cartoon style to landscapes. It uses a system that has been tried, tested, and is now used with the majority of disk magazines. It follows the style of Raw, Grapevine, Deadlock, Hexagone, Upstream, Jungle, Zine, Freedom Crack, etc. Of course, using this program doesn`t replace your own coded versions, but if you don`t know how to code, or haven't got the time and want to produce a professional looking disk magazine, then Magnum is all you`ll probably need. Articles can be typed as normal ASCII text. 2893 SCALA BACKGROUNDS All the way from Kumfy Ken in Surrey, come this disk of hi-res overscan fractal generated backdrops for you to use in SCALA. They will work in any IFF supported program but whos to know. Excellent they are too. If you register with the author then a whole stack of verbs are at your disposal. Good G.C.S.E learning aid. **SHAREWARE** 2910 SOLDERING DISK The soldering disk is a disk that helps you to create circuit board diagrams and vero-board layouts. There are loads of components on this disk which are saved as brushes so you MUST have a paint package i.e. DPAINT to use them with. Different size vero-board brushes are also included on this disk. 2911 PAY ADVICE ANALYSER V4 This program is ideal for keeping a record of your wage details on your computer. It will allow you to keep a regular check on your wages and how much tax your paying to make sure that the taxman, or worse still, your employer isnt fiddling you. **SHAREWARE** 2912 RADBENCH V1.7 Radbench is a workbench replacement disk with a difference. Once the program is installed, whenever you do a soft reset on your machine, workbench will load in around 5-6 seconds.!!! Just like having a miniature hard drive on your machine. All versions of workbench are supported. It is fairly memory intensive though so anyone with less then 2MB should think twice before buying this disk. The picture quality is absolutely stunning. 2916B TREASURES OF TUTANKHAMUN (AGA ONLY) Disk 2 of TREASURES OF TUTANKHAMUN 2917 COMIC ART 3 Roughly 10 high quality pictures on here all based on your favourite comic book characters. Included on here are Batman, Predator, Silver Surfer, Wolverine, X-Force and a few others. 2918 EMPTY HEAD AGA DEMO (AGA ONLY) Nice demo beginning with a huge 3D vector object with a UFO type thingy to light source it. Instead of just coded dancing characters, this time, Spaceballs have gone one better. Using digitized dancing characters and overlaying them with polygons, it gives an absolutely stunning effect. Get this and put your mates consoles to shame. Have fun. 2921 PARBENCH This program will set parnet up between two machines which you have linked up without lifting a finger (or not much anyway!!). Very easy to use and saves hours of hassle and frustration. 2922A CHARLEY THE CAT 2 (DOWN AT THE SEA) The second outing for our good friend Charley the Cat. This time, Charley has decided to spend a nice quiet (?) day at the beach (durrr!). Nothing unusual about that, except that his girlfriend Alyson is there sunning herself. Unfortunately for him, so is his arch-enemy Tiger who starts making trouble for him again. A fantastic animation!! Yukon, Black Maria, Frustration, Stonewall and Baroness. Mancala is reputed to be the oldest game in the world. According to the docs, it involves moving stones round a pit or something. If youve played the game youll know exactly what im talking about. If you havent, Tough. **SHAREWARE** 2925A CHARLEY THE CAT 3 (HOW TO CATCH A CANARY) Strange, the third anim in the series coming after the sixth. Thats because we at 17 Bit are all escaped loonys and like to do things the wrong way round. In this brilliant animation, Charley has decided to stay at home and have a go at catching his owner's new pet canary. But does he catch it? An excellent module plays along in the background but there is no groundbreaking stuff to be found here. 2930 XANADU:EXPLICIT II AGA DEMO (AGA ONLY) A so-so tunnel effect gets the ball rolling, then onto a scaled rolling box (whoopee) followed by a split 3D vector cube (a 3 year old routine?) and finally a duff picture with realtime rotation which looks awful. 2931A SYNTEX:SCAN IS LAME SLIDESHOW (AGA ONLY) This is more like it. The best quality, most professionally put together slideshow since Revelations. 2 disks containing 7, 256 colour pictures in Hi-Res with the most amazing quality imaginable. Finishing the demo off is a nice realtime rotated picture and a slightly crap Doom-esque world. The main feature on here is a 256 colour volcano made up of over 10.000 dots. Very nice. A metal/dance track plays continuosly. 8 bitplane bouncing balls, a nice raytrace piccy called Coders Lunch, some nice dot fireworks and other plasma routines all go to make this a reasonable AGA effort. 2935 CHANNEL Z ISSUE 1 (AGA ONLY) The first magazine dedicated solely to the AGA based machines has arrived. Its not brilliant but it does contain some good articles concerning CD32 and other AGA tales. For the drongos out there, the object is to turn cards over on the screen. If you get a pair then that option is executed, whether it be scoring a goal, getting a red or yellow card, a good tackle or anything else really. In a 2 player game. Players take an alternate turn in picking a card. Sounds difficult? Naaah. 2947 DITHELL IN SPACE An excellent arcade style platform/shooting game set in space. A cross between Jetpac and countless platform games, the object is simple, shoot the nastys and collect the objects. ProCAD also has a wide range of drawing tools including stretchy pencil lines and shapes, 2 types of stretchy PCB tracking pens, a solder pad tool with variable pad sizes and a DPaint type zoom editor. The graphic scorecard is the most interesting whereby the user must first draw each hole of the course with the built in editor and is of more interest to club players who usually use the same course. 3026 FLYING LESSONS A brilliant anim by Steve Attewell done in the style of the old Roobarb cartoons. At first the anim looks like its been knocked up in 5 minutes but you will soon realise that a great deal of effort has gone into it. A brilliant annoying tune plays throughout this demo which goes on for ages and has tons of different parts including fast textured landscapes, coloured balls and a zoom rotated piccy amongst other things. 3110 TEMPORAL MISPLACEMENT This is an excellent adventure game set in the Global Science Corporation. The object of the game is to jump back in time and retrieve a crystal which stores enough energy to supply all planetary needs from one single location. What makes this game so good is that the author has used digitized pictures instead of just plain text or hand drawn gfx, giving the game an `atmosphere'. 3111 THE SHEPHERD This game is very similar to Populous in many ways apart from the object of the game being to buy animals and place them on the map so that they multiply as fast as possible. Well this is a souped-up version for your amiga. Basically its a left to right scrolling shooting type game. If you like this kind of music then get this disk. **1 MB CHIP RAM REQUIRED** 3120 SCHNEBITZ INC. A brilliant colourful puzzle game featuring superb graphics and sound. The view is a sort of 3D effect. The basic aim of each level is to place the correct coloured block on the same T panel. This is achieved by picking up blocks and putting them down again. Simple. But there are a few twists, e.g. Doors, One Way Systems, Warps and Nastys. Excellent 3121 GUNFIGHTER Basically the aim of this game is: Shoot your opponent before he shoots you. Thrilling stuff? You most probably saw it get a very favourable review in Amiga Computing. 3122 PEARL:SATISFACTION GUARANTEED DEMO This demo opens up with a fast rave track and then shows us about ten minutes worth of spinning ball routines. Not very exciting. Then there is a nice full screen tunnel morph/zoom effect if you can work out what that means. A dot tunnel is next on the agenda. Getting a bit old hat these nowadays and finally a super fast tunnel effect that makes ya eyes go funny and will probably give you a fit or something. 3123 AEROSOL MUSIC DISK A rave disk. If you like it, fine, if you don't, fine. 3124 AMIGADOS TUTORIAL This disk is very handy for all you complete beginners out there. (And judging by our customers, there are some old timers who could do with this). A window appears upon loading, with every single DOS command you could think of. Click on a command and a full description of what that command does and how it can be used appears in the bottom half of the screen. Excellent learning aid. 3125 PROGRAM LOADER Program loader is an excellent util for all you Harddrive owners. (That should mean EVERYBODY now). Basically it allows you to launch programs from a menu on the workbench screen, instead of having to click in draws within draws within draws just to find a file. This time though he has compiled a disk of original music which doesnt have a Mozart or a Beethoven in sight. Can't aford the full price AB? Then get this. Walk round the ship, collecting the keys, and the credits to buy more weapons. Shoot the aliens and try to perform the tasks which are given to you at the start of each level. All the files are packed using PowerPacker and so must be unmunched before you can use them. 3149A MAG E #3 The latest issue of this brilliant disk magazine dedicated to all you Sci-fi/Fantasy gurus out there. Yep thats right. This particular program works with scores, like Sonix. Load in samples, and add them to the score building up a pattern as you go along. Then when you have finished you have a full drum loop to mess around with. Scores can be as big or as small as you like. Memory dependant. You can tailor the loop exactly as you want with all the in built functions, &tc. 3151 THE UNUSUAL CASE OF DR STRANGE Based on the old Dig Dug game basically you must use your pick axe to knock chunks out of the platforms. When the nastys become trapped, you must then whack them on the noddle and kill them. The graphics and sound effects are amazing for a PD game and the intro is a comic book style opening with a nice zoom effect on the castle. Excellent stuff. The special features of this database are that, once a field has been setup it can be moved around and expanded across and down the screen, thus given you more room for text in that field. The maximum number of fields you can have at any one time is nine. There is an automatic sort function from a-z plus search and print option. 3157 ORBIT 4 versions of the Tron game on here. But this time they are a little different. The games were written by the same person who wrote Ant Wars and are of a very high quality albeit rather frustrating. There are 2 one player games and 2 two player games. The main difference between all of these and the countless other Tron clones around is that the lines you control go where the hell they like. Brought to you by Mark Sheeky, the author of Overlander and other such goodies. This is a 2 player game. One player controls Russia, the other player controls America. The object is to destroy the enemy with your nuclear arsenal. The game is played in turns. A turn consists of selecting a launch site, setting the launch heading and elevation and then firing. The object of the game (as all you old farts will remember, Rob included) is to release a missile from your launcher at the bottom of the screen and guide it to the top to destroy the alien nastys. In opening ARP 1.3 you will find `Wildcards' for use in conjunction with ARP and CLI, `Environment Variables' plus all the enhancements of ARP 1.3. The AmiPan utility does however use a combination of the Italian and English languages in terms of the documents. Although the CLI commands are international anyway. ARUG2 (Master Driver) This is a utilities disk containing ARC PK232 host driver. PK232 is essentially a driver for sending communications signals along serial lines. The utilities on the disk enable you to install printers, print files and obtain graphic dumps. This disk operates through workbench or CLI. ARUG3 (Utilities and Games) This is actually the first disk by the Amiga Amateur Radio User Group. Contained on the disk are several utils and also a few games, Maze, Tower and Peg Puzzle. The disk is both, well documented and user-friendly. ARUG4 (SatLoc/Fax) SatLoc is an orbit map program for educational use and Fax is a fax receive program. ARUG5 (JRComm/GT) <Withdrawn according to the catalogue, but we've got it anyway!> ARUG6 (Yaesu FT-757GX driver) The program is documented re ts function, you can enter frequencies, edit, list and store things for retrieval later. You can `read-in' channel's and progressively make the radio scan a 100 channels. The program will drive a Yaesu FT-757GX or similar. An RS-232 interface unit is needed. ARUG7 (AmigaSat/Satellite Predictions) AmigaSat was converted from a series of programs written on an IBM. The program is from Australia and has full numbers. AmigaSat allows you to update satellite elements and has several forms of output - batch output, realtime output (one satellite to multiple satellites). The program also has ground station parameters which can be set. ARUG9 (Amateur Radio 1) This disk has various utilities included plus plenty of documentation for you to read about Morse Code, Propogation, Amiga BBS, Logging, Satellite Tracking etc. The utilities include Binary to ASCII converter and vice versa. The `read-me' files on this disk are intended as ample descriptions of ARUG software which is useful - workbench needed. ARUG10 (Amateur Radio 2) This disk is similar to ARUG 9 containing further documents and utilities. Workbench is needed for this disk also. ARUG12 (Amateur Radio 4) Further newsletters, documents, utilities and banter, workbench needed. ARUG13 (Amateur Radio 5) This disk has two further programs this time: TA-TERM.AMT-1 and TA-TERM.DK232, fully documented as usual. The programs allow you to set BAUD rates, transmit and receive. The screen display is in HAM mode and the program also has speech. ARUG14 (Amateur Radio 6) This disk contains `THE AUT', the definitive Amiga AFSK Video Tranceiver in Fax, Black and White and Colour. The program is fully documented. ARUG15 (Access! - Modem Software) Access! is a full program written by Keith Young for use with communications with your Modem. The program is functions are plentiful and will provide a good feature for anyone remotely interested in Communications. ARUG16 Access V1.4 + NoVirus Access! V1.4 is contained on this disk along with NoVirus V1.49. ARUG17 (Amateur Radio) This disk contains an image sent and received using AmigaFax. This image is in HAM and is very good quality for a transmitted image. This disk also contains Amiga Beacon, Terminal 1.2 and further accesories. ARUG18 (Morse-Snap) The Morse-Snap shareware program was written by Jerry Fitzpatrick using C, the software has several features along with several documents. ARUG19 (AmiPac 1.51) Contained on this utilities disk are AmiPac, Start SLF with full documentation. ARUG21 (Utilties) A disk just brimming with utilities including; ImageLab, CBBS, No Click, Fix 68010 and Image-Ed. ARUG23 (Satellite `Tracker') Another satellite tracking program, there are two programs, Tracker 8 and Tracker 9. Tracker 8 for 1Megabyte and Tracker 9 for .5Megabyte. These programs display satellites in real time. The programs work by menus. Full documentation included.
