- Operation Alpha - An "Act of War" mission by Alex Wingrove
- ---------------
-
- A rival corporation has just constructed offices near to your Head
- Quarters in direct competition. This is of course unacceptable, so a squad
- of marines under Major Kilnan has been assigned the task of shutting down
- the offices. Although the offices are currently empty, security guards and
- defence droids patrol the complex.
- In order to wipe out the effectiveness of the complex, the reactor located
- in an out building must be destroyed. Without power, the complex will be
- useless. So as to prevent reprisal attacks, the bases combat droids must
- be eliminated. Although this could prove difficult, it is essential.
- The various human guards on the site are not a worry, but should be
- eliminated as a matter of course.
-
- Mission Objectives:
-
- Player 1: Destroy the Reactor and the four Defence Droids.
-
- Player 2: Kill all attacking forces.
-
- The mission was designed for one player, but should work alright with two.
-
- Designers Notes:
-
- Having seen the very well drawn weapons by Neil Yates in his Aliens
- missions, I decided that my previous weapons were a bit poor. Therefore, I
- set about drawing up some new, better weapons. As I wanted to do a mission
- with lots of weapons, I took this opportunity to make a mission involving
- lots of big and small weapons. The mission itself is fairly simple and did
- not take long to do. Now I have some better weapons to grace future
- missions.
-
- Well, I seem to have run out of things to write so I'll stop now and let
- you play the mission.

- and still not being able to think of something witty to type in this space.
- I know, I'll type you something from my notice board in front of me. "A
- truly wise man never plays leap frog with a unicorn" and "Everything is
- possible except skiing through revolving doors". I hope that is at least
- slightly funny. I'll try better next time, but do not hold your breath.
