- CHARLEY CAT IX - CORAL QUARREL

- Hi, there! It's me again, and I'm extremely proud to
- present the ninth Charley Cat cartoon (actually, in theory,
- this is the tenth, but I decided not to count the Christmas
- Special as part of the series - more as a seasonal episode).
- Yes, Charley Cat, the world's most ferocious feline,
- is back for more cat antics. In CORAL QUARREL, he's back on
- the beach, this time hoping to relax more than in DOWN AT THE
- SEA, the second CC anim. I suppose you could call this a semi-
- sequel to that. But he's got some familiar problems to face,
- as Tiger (his arch-enemy) once again tries to muscle in on his
- girlfriend Alyson. And all he wanted to do was surf and relax!
- You'll no doubt have noticed that there are two icons
- for CORAL QUARREL - this is because unfortunately I didn't
- have enough RAM to store the whole cartoon in one go, so I
- split it into two loads. Anyone who has Moviesetter and loads
- of RAM may be able to use the Insert Production to join the
- two halves together. Apologies for the rest of you, but I
- didn't want to waste any hard work by deleting stuff.
-
- WARNING: Although the cartoon itself is freely distributable,
- (you may make copies, providing that everything on these disks
- is on the copies in its original unchanged form), the charac-
- ters themselves are copyright and may NOT be used without my
- permission.
- SPECIAL WARNING: CORAL QUARREL contains a few gory moments.
- As a result it has been rated PG. Parents may like to check it
- before letting young chidren view it. Sorry if you think it to
- be a bit gross, but Charley does have a bite that puts sharks
- to shame!
-
- You need 4.5Mb to run this cartoon. Oh, and extra drives
- or a hard drive would be very handy, or you'll probably start
- suffering from DiskSwap-itis(!) - the cartoon is on 5 disks!
-
- I myself am 20 (21 on June 18th 1994), I own an A500
- with 5Mb of RAM (0.5Mb Chip RAM), Kickstart 1.3 and Reference
- 100 hard disk. I used Dpaint IV to do the graphics, Techno-
- Sound Turbo for the sounds and music samples, and Moviesetter
- to combine them into a very atmospheric and sonically rich
- cartoon.
-
- If you have any queries about this or my preceding
- cartoons, write to me, Anthony Whitaker, at:

- England.
- Oh, by the way, this anim is Shareware - I would be
- very grateful if those who enjoy this cartoon could send a
- small fee of £5 to me. A lot of work has gone into this, so
- please be honest.
- Send all fees to the above address. Oh, and if the
- demand gets really great, I may consider releasing a version
- of this for lower memory machines.
-
- THANKS FOR READING - ENJOY THE CARTOON
