  4. This directory contains all known files related to Cedomir Igaly's port
  5. of Tatu Yl÷nen's SSH to the Win16 (MS Windows 3.x) and Win32 platforms.
  6. The versions ported were Yl÷nen's v. 1.2.12 through (probably) 1.2.26.
  7. Igaly released a number of such binary versions from 1997 to 1999, and then
  8. discontinued it, removed his files and most of the related Web pages, 
  9. declared his work emphatically not supported, and began discouraging its 
  10. use as "out of date".
  11.  
  12. However, it remains significant both as a milestone in the history of
  13. SSH and is still the only no-cost SSH implementation for Win16, and so is
  14. preserved here.  
  15.  
  16. Igaly never made the source code to any version available.  Igaly's binaries
  17. are freely usable under Tatu Yl÷nen's latter SSH 1.x licence (which
  18. allows any use other than combining it into a product for sale).

  20. Before using Igaly's SSH, you should read his SSH Web pages, mirrored
  21. in this directory as igaly.html and igaly2.html.
