  12. I haven't got an answer yet,
  13. But seven people gave me hell
  14. And said I ought to learn to spell;

  16. A posted message called me rotten
  17. For ignoring mail I'd never gotten;
  18. An angry message asked me, Please
  19. Don't send such drivel overseas;
  20.  
  21. A lawyer sent me private mail
  22. And swore he'd slap my ass in jail --
  23. I'd mentioned Un*x in my gem
  24. And failed to add the T and M;
  25.  
  26. One netter thought it was a hoax:
  27. "Hereafter, post to net dot jokes!";
  28. Another called my grammar vile
  29. And criticized my writing style.

  31. Each day I scan each Subject line
  32. In hopes the topic will be mine;
  33. I shot a query into the net.
