You can download BinHex 4.0 from a number of sites. A few are
listed below. May I offer a couple of suggestions first about
using Stack-o-Dead and ftp-ing? (Rhetorical question...)
1) Stack-o-Dead takes up many kB of space on your drive and, on
its sound files ("sound-bytes"? :^) )..., well, they jes gobble
up yer RAM space, but are fun nevetheless. When playing them or
checking out the catalogue of set lists, make sure you're not
running other apps simutaneously (say, MS Word), or your sys.
will likely crash.
2) Since you've already downloaded it, you'll first need to use
BinHex 4.0 AND THEN un-stuffit with a very useful program
called StuffIt Expander 3.0.1 (the current vers.). FTP these
from:
wuarchive.wustl.edu /mirrors/info-mac/utils
mac.archive.umich.edu or
sumex.aim.stanford.edu
For future ftp's, I HIGHLY recommend Fetch 2.1, a freeware FTP
program, downloadable from dartvax.dartmouth.edu . It can
convert files with .sit.hqx, etc., prefixes for you. NEAT-O!!!
Have fun! IKO, Mobs
